Gentoo Video Problems
I recently upgraded my kernel from kernel-2.6.7-gentoo-r11 to kernel-2.6.9-gentoo-r1 and am now having video problems when I boot.
From my understanding, I no longer need to put the vga line in my lilo.conf file, but instead I should specify my video settings in my kernel. That's what I did, I removed "vga=0x317" in my lilo.conf file and told genkernel to use 1024/768@60 under the video options in the genkernel menuconfig.
Now, when my machine boots up my monitor is split into three horizontal sections that repeat themselves. Duplicate information. I am able load X fine, so X's video settings seem to work.
What did I do wrong? Thanks.
