LinuxQuestions.org - gentoo installatin 2004.1 livecd

I have got rid of my SuSE 9.1 installation and am trying gentoo, but keep getting stuck on the install. Ive read the handbook and many other documentations on the gentoo installation and am confused on the installation steps. I usually get to the point after unpacking the portage system when Im looking at the handbook, and this article and that article and there all say to do something diferant and only do this if your doing a stage one ect... Ahh...I need some help. I was wondering if someone could walk me through how they did it, or show me a good article that shows how to do a stage 3 install from the live cd with some explanation. I have looked through the handbook and understand it, but get confused on all the alternate steps and stuff. I just need something that will walk me through a stage3 install and show me exactly what I need to do without printing out the 60 some odd page handbook or a quick installation guide that doesnt explaine any of the steps. Any help will be greatly apreciated.

ps. Although I know some linux basics (I have used it for about a year now like RedHat and SuSE) I am still somewhat of a n00b, and this gentoo installation seems to be the hardest thing Ive ever done. Mabey its just me.
