general question about the console

Hey all, I've been using linux for a while now, so i really wouldn't consider myself a noobie any more, but i really think this question is kinda a noobie question so any ways. I've been using slackware and mandrake and fedora, and red hat before that. So here's my question:

Last night i installed Gentoo for the first time, just to try it out. I was very impressed. I love a challenge. Anyway my question is this:

Can anyone tell me how it is that the command line in the gentoo livecd has that awesome background and the text is formatted within that background, and how can i make my machine have that as well?

Thank you to all in advance for any one who can help me with this.

Open the terminal. Go File > New Profile, name your profile and after that you will see some options to change the background and such.
