Geforce 4 in Mandrake8.2

I have not installed linux yet since it is going on a new comp that isnt finished yet(hopefully tomorrow). I am reading the manual to mandrake 8.2. I noticed on their website that it doesn't show support for geforce4. I went to nvidia's website and the 2 drivers that i need for linux are really confusing me. I read how to install the different ways they are packaged but i am not sure which ones to choose. Any and all help will be appreciated.

If you have a choice between *.rpm and *.tar.gz, go for the rpm as mdk will install it properly. You may have to set it up from a console (command line) and not in a graphics mode.
