GD Library installation

Hi Guys

I wanted to install (or enable) GD Library; onto my redhat box but after searching the web am unable to find clear instruction. It's a bit of a strange area and no-one seems to know the best installation.

I also heard that you have to pay for this on Red Hat, is that correct?

Many Thanks! Guy

I think it is open-source, i remember using the gd_graph CPAN module some time ago which i think used libGD.

The page seems to think installing it from yum is the way to go - have you tried that?

I was a little nervous about installing something as I did an install recently that broke my server, although yum install php-gd did the trick!
