gcc installation
I have an Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz PC, running Fedora Core (2.6.18-1.2798.fc6). I want to install gcc compiler in it. Which version of gcc should I download ? What should be the configuration command for me ??...plz help !!!

Be aware that support for FC6 was dropped several years ago. Currently Fedora is at Fedora12.

The free long time supported version of fc6
is (Redhat)CentOS 5.4 .
Fedora 6 packages, look for gcc , gcc-c++
