Question gCC & nasm questions


ee gad I posted this on the wrong forum but I am pretty sure this is the write one
since I am a linux newbie, so my question was how to access gcc & nasm and how to
use them, where do I find them on Fedora Core 3, are they even on fedora core 3
I did the 7 gig install (everything!)

please help i am really confused, i don't know how to get a command prompt in fc3 also is there one accessible in gui mode

thankx in advance

If you selected the development packages then gcc and nasm will be installed. Depending on desktop you are running look at the taskbar and you will see something that looks like a monitor. Selecting this icon with the mouse will start a console window.

type gcc at the prompt and press the enter key. If you see something like:
gcc: no input files

Your ready to go.

well i installed everything, so that includes the developer packages but all I see on my desktop are my computer, owners home & trash also would developer package also include NASM

oh wait i found it

so just for others who read this post its actually in applications -> system tools -> terminal

but thanks you still helped caused before I was doubting there even was nasm & gcc on fc3
