Gaming in Linux

what would be, in your opinion, the best distro to use for gaming? i am current using Mandrake 10 and have heard it is not very game minded... or in their words... a game hater

It does not matter, seriously. Any distribution will do as long as you have up-to-date drivers and stuff. Here is some tips for getting games running in LInux. It will work with any "standard" distribution. What I would consider "unfriendly" gaming distributions would be "non-standard" ones, as the horrible Java Desktop System. You can turn that in an usable distribution, but it's not worthy the hassle...

Other then that, all distributions are the same and different at the same time... if that makes any sense
