galeon bookmarks

I'd like to save all my bookmarks (galeon) in a text file as im gonna try a different distro' but when i try saving them galeon saves them as a *xbel file and its very difficult to read, as is if i save them as a *txt file, any easy way to do this ?

Well, for readibility, exporting to Mozilla bookmarks (or Netscape) produces an html file you can view in your browser. But viewd as text it is html code, which is better than xbel but worse than text.

since your trying a different distro I recomend Mandrake Linux.
