Angry Gaim problems in Knoppix


I wonder why ehen i set up a new user under de MSN protocol and then i try to connect it it says "protocol unsupported" i specify MSN protocol and my username and password from Hotma... service and i also set the conection configuration like my windows msn but it doesn't work...

I use knoppix and i can actually connect to internet.... what can i do ?

You are using an old version of Gaim. MS changes it's protocols to avoid third part applications (as Gaim) to work.

If you are using Knoppix installed on your HD, then no problems, download and install a new one. Otherwise, if you are running from the CD (booting from Knoppix), so there's really nothing you can do about that
