Gaim keeps closing


hi can anyone help
Iam runing gaim and all works fine but cant get it to run in the background. when closing it closes the whole thing, ive look everywhere in the menus but haveing no luck...
Any help with this would be great thanks

Try using one of the default plugins called System Tray Icon. This allows you to put it into the system tray and keep tabs on the status of the program and message alerts. I can hit the close button on the buddy list and it stays active.
