Gaim error

I just tried to upgrade gaim to version .77 using a .tgz file, but after I did I got this error:

gaim: error while loading shared libraries: libXss.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Now I can't start gaim, how do I fix this?

Thx.

Thank you very much for the quick response, but this leads me to my next question...

What's the easiest way to unistall packages/programs from slackware?

Thx again.

From Terminal type:

Code:
removepkg gaim-*
Also you can try typing from terminal:
Code:
pkgtool
Note that I found all this from www.slackware.com !!!

Also instead of .77 try .78 ! They upgraded it already. Download the latest verison from gaim.sourceforge.net

Yea sorry about that, I should RTFM hehe. However I tried using pkgtool to uninstall gaim then I reinstalled it with no luck.

I also tried to compile and install .78, but I still get the same error. Anybody got any ideas?

I'm sorry, but I can't help you. What I can do is give you two pieces of advice:
Submit a bug report at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func...35&atid=100235
Try downloading the source from here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/g...ar.gz?download
And you can try contacting gaim from this page:
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/contactinfo.php
