gaim crashs on startup after plug-ins installed

HIŠ I had gaim working fine untill I got greedy and install a bunch of plug-ins, my question is how do I fix it , I found the plug-ins in the lib file , If I remove them will that unload them? any sugestions?

ps I think it's the older version of gameŠ

Start the program from a console window and see why it crashes. Perhaps it is only one file you need to correct, not all. Also, if it is an old resease, it copuldn't hurt to upgrade, huh?

if you have slack and the gaim 7.0 version then there was a problem with it crashing (it pissed me off no end).

The 8.0 version of gaim works like a charm.

I upgraded and it works fine except for the perl plugins ... have you ever been able to do a direct I M ? I get a sceen with a little giberish on it but what would i do with it?

what sort of gibberish?

i just login to the MSN and ICQ network and my contacts are there to chat to. i run no perl plugins though, sorry.

P.S. with MSN you can't yet send files to others. It hasn't been implemented yet.
