GAIM 1.0: Yahoo Buddies Shown as Offline

Searched this one pretty good. Came up with something close to cause problem (the cause = Yahoo buddies on different server than me), but the problem was supposedly fixed in Gaim 0.75. Here's the deal.

I'm logged in to my IM accounts through Gaim. Yahoo buddies can see me as listed online. Gaim shows them all as being offline. We can still IM each other, but I can't see who's there and who isn't.

Checked with them all, and none of them had invisibility set. So what gives? All ideas are appreciated, as I'd like to see when these Yahoo folks are online (most of them are family, and would like to be able to do a little family chat). Thanks!
