gag graphical boot manager install

HI all,
Could you please tell me (newbie) how to install gag via XP so that I can see my beloved ubuntu partition again!!!? if its easier to just reinstall ubuntu over the top so that grub can see both partitions and then worry about gag later, let me know. its just that I cant seem to find any installation instructions for gag anywhere!!!? Could somebody please point me in the right direction as I already miss ubuntu
: )

cheers for your help

Did you install WinXP after Ubuntu? You could also try booting the Ubuntu installer CD to try repairing/reinstalling GRUB. If all else fails you could always reinstall Ubuntu

It's been a while since I've used GAG so I don't remember exactly how it works but there should be an exe file to run. It searches for possible boot options but you may also have to tell it what drive or partition to look at. I would suggest installing GAG on a floppy until you get the hang of how it works.

Hope this helps.

Gag will not help you boot Ubuntu unless you have its(ubuntu's) bootloader installed in a boot partition or the root partition.

Did you reinstall xp and overwrite gag or grub?

If you overwrote gag - boot from the gag cd or floppy and enter the partitions where you installed the operating systems. Remember to "save to hard disk" before leaving. There is a readme included with the download.

If you overwrote grub - you will need to reinstall grub. And you would be better off placing it into the mbr to boot windows and ubuntu.
