Funny .. from where is the IP assigned in my linux box !!

I have a old linux box running Redhat. When I do ifconfig it show all the IP that are up and you can ping from other box. I can find the IP assigned to eth0 in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 but other IP assigned to eth0:0, eth0:1 eth0:2 etc are not there in the folder. My problem is I cannot locate from where this IP is assigned to this linux box, it is not there in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ and not running from /etc/rc.d/rc.local. Do I need to grep all the files and search for the IP or is there a better way to find it. Thank you

If the IP isn't statically set then you have dhcp client running, which automatically set an available IP to your LAN card.
Try this on console:
ps aux | grep dhcp
This will show if you have the daemon running.
About your LAN card the config file maybe is at /etc/network/interfaces
Im not 100% sure about its location on RedHat its been long time since I last fiddle with it.
Those details might help you find out.

Try grep -r eth0:0 /etc. It shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
