full access of linux host via vnc

We would like to have full VNC access (see the full color Linux desktop) from the "root" account. Currently,i only able to see a very low resolution desktop through the VNC window

after restart vnc services do the following

# vi /root/.vnc/xstartup
(uncomment this line)
exec /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
and restart the services again
