FTP with root

I set up ftp using wu-ftp but am unable to ftp as root. I can get in using any other username, but not with root.

Please help

The reason you can't ftp as root is because it is very insecure to do so, I can't think of any reason you would want to open your computer, via an ftp port, to the world giving them root access to the entire system. Don't do it!
