ftp whole directory tree


Hi all..

I am trying to ftp a whole directory tree using vsftpd as ftp server in fedora11

Code:
ftp
ftp>open ipaddr
ftp>user vinay passwd
ftp>mget file.txt   # works perfectly fine
successfull
ftp>mget directorytree  # does not works
550 failed to open file
I am getting error while transfering a directory tree ...Can anyone help me on this ?

Try using lftp as the client instead of ftp. The lftp command supports
recursive gets and puts.
