FTP search by file type

Hi guys,

I trying to repair and upgrade my laptop so I need to FTP anonymously various .pdf files from the NEC/Packard Bell servers but they store these in many folders(approximately 800 some include zip, exe and pdf)

So my idea was to search the FTP server for .pdf files only in all the folders before downloading all those pdf files found in one go...
Then sift through that for the appropriate data.

Firstly Is that even possible

Secondly If so is there a command line instruction and options to do so.

Thanks in advance

Take a look at the wget man page, you probably want something like (untested):
Code:
wget -A pdf -m -np ftp://blah
