FTP question

How do I get vsftpd to let me login and dump me in a directory other then /

I want it to dump me into /srv/www/htdocs so that I can get to my websites directories but it wont let me out of /

I tried to install proftpd, but the list was huge of problems and inconsistancies and lacking things so I finally gave up.

Suse 9.3
