ftp-installing suse 9.0 with xircom cardbus pcmcia
hi.
i cant seem to ftp-install suse 9.0 with my xircom pcmcia card.
when i try to 'load network card modules' i cant seem to find the appropriate one for xircom.
and when i try to 'load pcmcia modules', it says that i already have my pcmcia module loaded.
what should i do?
thanks.

try a "general" module like: tulip, 8139too, etc..
Or, you can boot with a LiveCD and due an lspci and check which module was loaded for your nic.
i don't know if that link can help you ..

cool, so pcmcia is loaded....I found a match to a nonamer pcmcia card by simple trying each of the nic driver options on the list (yes it was a suse install).... there are only, what, 20 or so... if it is the wrong driver, you will get a "failed" message in red....

No more ideas, sorry :/
Do you have a LiveCD of any distro?
Like Knoppix, Slackware-Live
WIth a LiveCD you will be fine to check the module used by the nic auto-detected
Download a LiveCD like Gentoo-LiveCD (boot.iso) it's only 22mo
Or, i don't know , i'm very sorry :/
