Fstab


Hello All great Minds


When i use the Fstab in Shell i get this error

/etc/fstab: line 1: /: is a directory
/etc/fstab: line 2: /boot: is a directory
/etc/fstab: line 3: none: command not found
/etc/fstab: line 4: none: command not found
/etc/fstab: line 5: none: command not found
/etc/fstab: line 6: /dev/sda3: Permission denied
/etc/fstab: line 7: /dev/cdrom: Permission denied
/etc/fstab: line 8: /dev/fd0: Permission denied

How can i fix that problem because i want to mount other drive

you appear to be trying to run it as if it were a program.. it is a configuration file, not a program... read the manpage for fstab for more on it's purposes.

then how do i mount and seeing the partion of the drive and use fstab
