Frustrated semi-newbie to linux

I am frustrated this morning. All I want to do is listen to a CD through my CDROm on my SUSE laptop. Not hard you might say? I can't figure out how to do it.
I have a CDRW instead of a normal CD player in my laptop, but I should be able to just put my music cd in and listen correct? I shouldn't have to figure out how to mount it and everything? If I do then that is a problem, I could reboot to windows, put the CDROM in, close the door and boom I am listening to the music.

Here my /etc/fstab if that help
/dev/hdc3 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hdc2 /data1 auto noauto,user 0 0
/dev/hdc1 /windows/C ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=utf8 0 0
/dev/hdc5 swap swap pri=42 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0

Let me know what I need to do, I am runing SuSE 9.1 with KDE as my graphical window manager.

mmmm

you actually cant mount an audio CD because it is not a filesystem.

You could try opening the cdplayer program that comes with SUSE......if it has one.

Quick question: Do you have sound at all, say when your splash screen opens or something?

EEK.

Yes I do, I can get XMMS to play some of the .mp3 files i have on my windows partition. But I just want to listen to my music on CD :)

Argh, its early I figured out my issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the KDE CD tools, which included KsCD. Upong reinstalling it, I could get it to work, sorry for the bother
