Frustrated Newb Deleted Partition... STUCK

I installed Linux and used it for a bit, then decided it wasn't for me. I installed it alongside Windows 7. Whence I decided it wasn't for me, I decided to get clever and delete the linux partition...

Four hours later and I am still stuck where the grub comes up at computer launch and says "no such disks" then, "grub rescue>". I tried everything on the Windows 7 forums, tried overwriting the grub with a windows 7 disk. This thing still comes up everytime... grub rescue. Can I please get some help with how to overwrite this grub thing?

Hi athaemik,

What all have you tried so far ?

What happens when you fire following commands in grub> prompt
Code:
root (hd0,0)
rootnoverify ( hd0,0)
chainloader +1

Simple install your window7 boot manager from your windows CD that is overwritten by the grub boot manager !
Grub searches for its programm and menue file it can not find any more.

But think about if you want to use an other linux distribution. Maybe it fits better your needs. Many are also available on live DVDs so you don't have to install them.
