From Ubuntu 7.1 to 8.04: problems..
 
Hi,

im trying to update from gutsy to 8.04, but this error message appear and the installation stops:

Code:

Failed to fetch http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/Release.gpg Fallo la conexión [IP: 150.214.5.135 80]
Failed to fetch http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/main/i18n/Translation-es.bz2 Fallo la conexión [IP: 150.214.5.135 80]

"Fallo la conexion" means "The connection failed".

This is my sources.list if you need it:

It could just be that the server took too long to respond or had too many people trying to connect.
I put the link:
http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/
into my browser and the Release.gpg file is there and can be opened.

Just give it one more try with the update and let me know if you still have problems.

Yeah, maybe the server is overloaded, wait for a few hours and try again. Also see maybe there is some notice on the main ubuntu web about that problem.

Or try using another mirror for the repositories.
