from shell to KDE or any graphical desktop
Hi! I had install redhat 9.0 in my secondary harddrive and now whenever I log in ,it is always in shell or dos and I couldn't find the command to jump into any graphical when I use mandrake 9 ,I could just type kde or gnome and the desktop would automatically open. When I install redhat 9 ,I did install quite a few software .I install all the graphical destop and etc.... but now I am unable to do anything after install more than 2.5 gb of software pack .
Was the shell's command from mandrake is different from redhat or was it I that didn't know how to.But when I was loading it did show graphical booter .

Help me ,please.

To start as GUI from the command-line

To boot straight into a GUI
As root, edit the file /etc/inittab
Change the line

Then type
telinit q

Log in, then type startx

change swap partition from hda3 to hdb3
I got another problem ,it that when I install RH9 I couln't install it with my own pc for that gzlib ,crc comprassion error ( I don't know what is that). So I took out my secondary harddisk and install it in my sister computer. But my sister computer couldn't support two HD at once so I set this one as primary .The installing went smoothly, but when I rejoin in my PC as secondary everything work except for the part that this RH couldn't find swapt partition in HDA3 .Course of it couldn't find it because it tis not in HDA(windowxp) anymore(I thinks). It is in HDB3(again,I think
).So can anyone tell me what seem to be the problem?and of course I got two sound card (on board and sb!live surround sound 5.1).And as everyone would have done it ,I use SB! Live but when I change my primary audio device and make a audio testing,it's working file until I try to open mp3 audio from CD .No sound produce.

help me!!!
