Hi,

Dont remove OR zip, let the system work for you. I bet your log files got a bit big...try the following:

Quote:

logrotate -f -v /etc/logrotate.conf
...assuming the logrotate's conf is where you left it ;)

Good luck

Quote:

logrotate -f -v /etc/logrotate.conf
This will force a rotation of the logfiles, and create a backup log, depending on your setting they are compressed or not.
So the OP still need to delete/backup these files in order to free some space.
I would take a look which files are there, are they rotated correctly, do you still need the rotated files, why are files growing to big.....

Kind regards

First you should check the disk usage of all directories and files in /var directory, then only take next step.
