Question Freeradius2 install hang

Hi all,

I have just installed CentOS 5.5 x64 fresh on a HP ML110 G6.

Have ran 'yum install' and rebooted.

Next I tried to install freeradius2:

[root@crystal-1 log]# yum install freeradius2

Just freezes here!

If I ctrl-c I get:

error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping freeradius2-2.1.7-7.el5

  freeradius2.x86_64 0:2.1.7-7.el5

The YUM log simply reports:

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

For how long did it "hang?" From your output, it looks like the pre-install script was running when you aborted it. Some scripts can take a (very) long time to run.

By the way, on my Fedora system (which is just a laptop, and not configured as a server of any kind), when I look at the repository contents for "radius" stuff, there are several packages (in addition to the base server) that you wight want to install.

It appears as though it's called 2 different things:

freeradius2.x86_64 0:2.1.7-7.el5

it also seems as though you have already successfully downloaded it, and installed it under the name:

but the package to download is called "freeradius2.x86_64 0:2.1.7-7.el5"

hm strange
