forward & back mouse buttons in konqueror


hi, i'm using suse 9.3 and am in the kde environment. i set up my xmodmap for my mouse buttons (mx500) and the forward and back buttons on the mouse work fine in firefox, but they don't do anything in konqueror. what can i do to make my forward and back mouse buttons work in konqueror?
