Formatting and Burning DVD-RW Discs

Hi, i am using K3b for burning dvds, and i have this DVD-RW.

My first problem was with giving it permission to burn, but igot that, but for some reason now, when itry to burn a dvd, it will give me this error:

WAiting for media..
Writing DVD-R in DAO mode
using growisofs 5.17
Starting writing..
:-( /dev/hdc: unable to proceed with recording: unable to unmount
Fatal error at startup: Device or resource busy

then when i try to format one, i put it in the drive and it says it cannot find any media in the drive..

someone help

DVD reading and writing support in linux is sketchy still. Try to issue "dvdrecord -scanbus" and see if it detects your drive. If it does, make sure that it's detecting it as a dvd-recorder and not simply a cd-recorder. Beyond that you'll have to google as I can't get my TDK working in linux.
