"Format" command in Linux
 
Dear Friends ,

In widows platform I use the FORMAT command for deletingor formatting a drive/partition . In linux (Redhat) Platform what will be the command for regarding this purpose .

newfs is the equivalent.

to delete or add partitions: fdisk
