Force a refresh rate in X
Hi. I want to ask if there is a way to force X to have a specific resolution and a specific refresh rate ? I know I have in xorg.conf the HorizSync and the VertRefresh Settings, but is there a way I can force X to use an exact resolution and refresh rate ? I'm using Slackware 10 and KDE 3.3.1

in the refresh rate sections instead of an entry like:
VertRefresh 50-100 do VertRefresh 60 |
10x, that did the trick, do you know, what refresh rate does X chooses if I set a range from 60 to 120. Does it use the highest refresh rate ?

No, I'm not sure which it chooses if it has the option. (just a guess) Maybe after it probes your hardware it
chooses based on resolution or something of that nature? |
