For downloading: under supported architectures. What is a 686?

I wanted to download Knoppix. It said the suppoted architectures were: 386, 486, 586 and 686. What is a 686?

I run an AMD 64 bit dual core.

Thanks,

royeo

Royeo, the safest arch. would be i686 since you are running a fairly new proccesser.

If that does not work try i386 that always works!
