Question Fonts too big that I cannot reduce them anymore

After installing Compiz in Kubuntu, the system fonts are incredible big (or they magnify themselves automatically). They are soo big that I am unable to decrease them in System-Preferences-Fonts, because the boxes where I have to click on, are beyond the computer screen. Even not possible to scroll to them.
I searched via a terminal, but I don't know the exact commands I have to give.
Somebody knows the commands for reducing system fonts / and/or / stop effects settings on fonts?
Thanks a lot.
Manu

Sounds like your screen resolution is at 800x600 . Try changing it to a higher setting.

Because I did not receive an adequate answer I reinstalled Kubuntu. I will not run Compiz anymore as long as I don't know how I can recover the problem I had.
Nevertheless thanks to all who read the message.

What is inadequate about the suggestion to change the screen resolution? That's exactly what I would have advised.
