Fonts looks awful on Debian Linux... how do I make it look good and clear like MS?

Hello all,

I'm running Debian 'Sarge' with 2.6.8-2-k7 kernel using nVidia FX5200 video card and how do I make my fonts look nice and crisp like Windows's?

Especially using the Mozilla browser, the fonts looks blur and hard to read.

Install msttcorefonts, xfs and gtk2-engines-gtk-qt for starters. The last one enables you to control the fonts in gtk apps from the KDE Fonts panel.

Also run dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig and try out several of the options displayed to discover what works best for you.

The default KDE font sucks anyway, Change this to Helvetica and turn off anti-aliasing for fonts.

Thanks.

One thing... the msttcorefonts doesn't have helvetica in it.
