Fonts ?
Hey there me again..
Since I became the best help in this forum and the most userfriendly one im going to ask another newbie questions. I'd like to ask if there's a way to get fonts like ARIAL and other Microsoft Fonts for Linux (Fedora Core 2) Im using Mozilla 1.6. On some websites "also on this one" my fonts are strange I think it's the nimbus one or something like it.. Doesn't look very good so I want to use Arial or some other "usual" fonts for the www. Is that possible ? if yes how ? Regards Mortified Pengu |

If that doesn't help try: www.google.com/linux?q=%22Core+Web+fonts%22 |
I got it to work by copying the fonts to /usr/share/fonts, then running the fc-cache command.

Hello Mortified Pengu,
Arial isn't the only font. Verdana is excellent on websites, Bitstream, Nimbus, Lucida are very good too. Fonts in general don't always look good in Linux but I think this can be improved though I'm unsure how. Cheers, |
