font visualization

I have a problem when I open a software because I can't visualize the fonts on the menu bar, I see only little squares.
So I tried to install the same software in another PC, but everything is OK and I don't have the same problem.

Therefore I think I don't have that font already installed in my PC!

How can I know what type of font I have to install?

language settings

A good place to start is /usr/share/fonts on most Linux systems.

If you see squares instead of characters, then your problem can also be related to some missing language kits. Displaying chinese text on systems without fonts and locales for Chinese usually gives these squares.

Check the configurations of your system.

I checked that folder, there are a lot of characters, but I don't know which one I need. However it isn't any "strange" language, because when I open the same software in the other PC, I can visualize everything and the language is English.

What can I do?
