font not installed properly

Hi Guys

Sorry this is probably a complete no-brainer ;-)

When I start up a konsole, I get an error message:

Font '-misc-console-medium-r-normal--16-160-72-72-c-80-iso10646-1'
not found

So I did ran xlsfont and of course this font is not installed on my computer (SUSE Linux 8.2).

I did some digging around on google and found that the above font should be in a file called "console8x16.pcf.gz"

So I looked for this file, and I do have it:

/opt/kde3/share/fonts/console8x16.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fnlib_fonts/console8x16.pcf.gz
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/console8x16.pcf.gz

Also, /etc/fonts/fonts.conf DOES point to these directories:

<dir>/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts</dir>
<dir>/usr/share/fonts</dir>
<dir>/opt/kde3/share/fonts</dir>
<dir>~/.fonts</dir>

I also have FontPath set up in some other file and that points to the correct directories...

So... how on earth can I install this font as xlsfont still can't see it or find it and nor can my konsole :-(

Thanks in advance

Mick
