After just recently installing RedHat Linux 7.1, I got on the internet to check out the RedHat website. I noticed that netscape (the browser that came with the OS) needed to be updated. So I downloaded the lastest version of netscape and attempted to install it. Unfortunately it said that it required an upgraded version of "GLIBC" which I appeared to
not have. So I ran the RedHat update utility and downloaded the latest packages. Afterwards, I successfully installed the latest version of netscape. However, when I opened up the browser for the first time, most of the text was showing up as rectangles or non-character font (whatever you call 'em). I'm talking about my menu bar font and the font on the actual web page. I thought maybe it was the font settings or desktop theme settings in my Gnome control center. So I changed them around a bit to see what would happen. At one point I got the font to show up but when I clicked on a link on a webpage, only a few images or ads would load up but no font at all. So I went back to change my settings again and then not only did the font go back to the rectangle shapes in my browser but the font of my icon names changed too. I hope someone can help me cuz its really hard to explore Linux when you can't read anything
