folder names difference in KDE and the command line

Hi;

I've worked a while with Mandrake and am currently using Mandrake 10.0 with KDE 3.2. My question is why I cannot cd to a folder with a folder name consisting of two words like "my folder". Note the space between the two words. If I change the name to my_folder or similar I have no problems. When using KDE filemanager there is no problem changing to a folder like my folder.
This problem occurs only when using the command line and the folder name is separated with a blank.

Curious what could be the cause of this.

Thanks!
