login as root
# init 3
login again
# startx /path/to/fluxbox (on my computer it's "/usr/local/bin/fluxbox" )
what happens?

it starts fluxbox fine when i do it that way.

i already did do them and i got the error. at the moment im useing the startx till i can fix it.

change the last line to
exec fluxbox
It shouldn't make a difference but let's see what happens.
