Question Fluxbox for mandrake 10


Hey,

I am looking for a Mandrake 10 rpm for fluxbox....anyone know where to find one. I really want to give it a try.

would the generic rpm work?

otherwise, why not just build it yourself from the source? flux compiles pretty fast.

I can't seem to get rpm-build to compile. I seem to have a version of rpm that it too new for rpm-build. I want to try to keep all my sowtware from rpm

Once of the most useful tools I've found for linux is checkinstall. When you compile a program from source, you run ./configure and make as you normally would, but then you run checkinstall in place of make install. Checkinstall runs make install, but instead of installing the program, it creates a Slackware package, RPM or Debian package. You can then manage your compilied program as you would any other rpm.

Thanks, but I just had to do a urpmi fluxbox and now it is install
