Hi there - I'm a newbie trying to install flash on my system. I have run the installer, and it starts all right. the problem comes when it asks me for a install directory for the browser. It just keeps giving me warnings about a valid directory. I talked t oa friend and he said to copy the files for the installation into the /usr/lib/mozilla directory and try that. it did not work. Any help that you are willing to provide would be greatly appreciated.
Heres the 'warning' i cannot get past:
Please enter the installation path of the Mozilla, Netscape,
or Opera browser (i.e., /usr/lib/mozilla): /usr/lib/mozilla
WARNING: Please enter a valid installation path.
Please enter the installation path of the Mozilla, Netscape,
or Opera browser (i.e., /usr/lib/mozilla): /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
try feeding it /usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1, it's looking for a directory containing both a plugins and a components directory, that should fit the bill, it will then check to see if the plugins directory there is writeable by the user invoking it.
