Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

flash
So I installed the flash plugin for Mozilla, which I believe I recall working a little while, but now I can video from flash files but no audio. I originally used the yum command "yum --enablerepo=flash install flash-plugin" to install it, and reran that command in case I had changed some setting on my browser. This did not bring back the audio. I also tried running "yum update flash" and other comparable commands, only to get the response: Nothing to do. Apparently the plugin is up to date, it just doesn't seem to be working. Thanks for any suggestions.
if the only problem you're having with it is the audio, it could be a permissions issue with one of your /dev files... this is a common problem people have when installing the flash plugin... of course it might also be something else... i wish i could be more helpful, but i don't use fedora... on my slackware system i once had to do a "chmod 666 /dev/dsp0" to get the flash plugin audio working if i remember correctly...

I tried the command to no avail...thanks for the suggestion though, anyone who uses Fedora have a similar problem? My audio works fine otherwise with other media players and the such, just not with Flash.
