Fixing broken root on a Macbook (from 2006)
I have a Macbook with no OS. I can run an old Fedora Debian in live mode, but cannot make changes because of permissions, and it will not install because of a bad root file. It shows that "root" is damaged, and files are in "lost+found". Any suggestion as to how to get a Linux install onto this Macbook? What would happen if I cleaned the hardrive using dban, and then ran a Linux installation?
Would it allow a fresh installation to run or would it kill all chances of future acccess to the drive? |
