Question First Time Trying to Dock/Nest a Dynebolic/Debian Distro

Hi I've been trying off and on for a couple weeks. I have Dynebolic 3 installed via lili-linuxlive which uses a virtualbox I guess. My original OS-windows7 doesn't boot up anymore since I used the lili the first time(which I don't care about) but it is frustrating that I can't upgrade any programs or keep settings. I'm using the usb because im on a net book with no cd drive.

I know about making a dyne.nst file but don't know where to put it or if it matters because virtual box just starts over fresh or what?

So the nest would be a starter but a dock would be excellent.

Thx for input and help looking forward to the community interaction more.
