It's slow without anything running. The OS lags doing nothing.

Of course you have a physical video-card, it is just integrated into your chipset. According to the specs it is an Intel 865G, it is bad at 3D graphics, but should be fast enough for a simple 2D desktop, so I would recommend a distro with Gnome, XFCE or LXDE as DE. Maybe you should try Debian or Slackware with XFCE, it really should fly on that system. I even have an old laptop with a 550 MHz-CPU, 256 MB RAM and 8 MB integrated SIS-graphic, and Debian with LXDE runs really fine with it.

I'm currently downloading OpenSUSE. And the download link to Debian LXDE are broken.

With integrated graphics, you should try disabling Compiz desktop effects (I think Ubuntu enables them by default.) You can do this from one of the Preference menus or simply press Alt+F2 and type "metacity --replace" (without the quotes).

I don't understand. In Ubuntu, you don't install LXDE by clicking on a link, but rather by using the Ubuntu Software Center or terminal commands such as "sudo apt-get install lxde".

I was going to the website and downloading the ISO. Will the Software center version completely remove Ubuntu?

LXDE is a desktop environment, a lightweight alternative to Gnome. Installing it will not remove anything but rather give you an additional Sessions option to select from the login screen. You don't have to download another 700mb ISO to try LXDE!
