first time installation


Just got a laptp hp 2k and burned disk of linux mint 14.1 mate 64 desire to install.
After cold boot restart, now at a graphical login prompt requesting username and password. Have no idea what it is. Can u help? I do not want to be a MS user anymore.

I got this information off of the Linux Mint web site:

Login and password for the live session

The Live session should log you in automatically. If it doesn't, or if you need to login manually (for instance, to try out Cinnamon), you can use the following credentials:

For the username, type "mint"
For the password, if asked, just press Enter.
