Question First time install problem

I am trying to dual boot Mandrake with Win 2000. I used Partition magic and made a separate partition for Mandrake. My problem is that the CD will not boot when I restart my computer. I have tried to make the floppy like the directions said but it does not recognize my floppy drive. This is the first time that I am installing Linux. I have never used Linux before. So any help would be much appreciated.

Check you have the options for your bootable CD-Rom and Floppy Check on in your bios
